Ruby Slipper Theft Guided Tour - 11am

A pair of Ruby Slippers worn by Judy Garland in the iconic "The Wizard of Oz" film from 1938 were stolen from our museum in 2005. They were recovered in 2018 by the FBI in collaboration with Grand Rapids PD. They have been in FBI custody since. As of February 2024, the slippers have been returned to their owner but the case is still active with the "who done it."
